STEM ARCHITECTURE
Client: ETC Montessori
Developed in collaboration with the largest and most reputable publisher of Montessori curricula materials in North America, the STEM Architecture program introduces students not only to the world of architecture, but also to the basic concepts of how it is made.
Comprised of a multistep learning and activities program, students walk through architectural history, and learn the basics of organizational principles, culminating in a capstone exercise whereby they develop their own responses to a proposed design problem.
Though not designed to provide a crash course in architectural education, the program develops an appreciation for the built environment and its impact on society, from antiquity through the modern age.
