DEK Studio has been retained as design architect for the La Pointe Krebs Museum Addition. Situated at the intersection of Krebs Lake and the Pascagoula River in Southern Mississippi, the existing house and museum tells the story of the first settlers to the region, how they built, and how they lived. The museum is now embarking on a capital campaign to raise funds for the construction of a new assembly and events center to facilitate new programming and events to support the museum. The new structure will take design cues from the existing heritage buildings on site, but also incorporate current design methodologies, anticipating a mass timber structure with crafted joinery and details.
